Psychotherapy for Flexibility | Adaptive Change | Resilience.

My name's Sean and I'm from Wales, Britain. I live in Barcelona and I practise psychotherapy online in English for people in Barcelona or anywhere in the world. I’m an experienced, certified psychotherapist; and a registered psychologist in Spain. I work in English and Spanish but most of my clients are expats who speak first or second language English and work in multinationals. My approach to psychotherapy is broadly psychodynamic (or psychoanalytic).

In addition to offering quality therapy, I hope that clients will find this service efficient and cost effective. Therapy online fits into your schedule and allows you to make really worthwhile use of a free hour during the day. As I'm a registered health psychologist provider, clients with a health insurance policy which includes reimbursements can claim back a significant proportion of the cost of therapy. Time to make use of that company healthcare policy you never use!

How can Psychotherapy help you?
Strain and anxiety and loss are universal experiences. Therapy is a way of creating space to attend to your concerns and your emotional world. Expressing yourself consistently and receiving non-judgemental feedback is a means of organising and processing experiences, emotions, thoughts and feelings. Psychotherapy can help you to:
-
be happier
-
to achieve adaptive change and increased resilience to future adversity
-
cope better with anxiety, panic, stress
-
improve emotional regulation
-
improve relationships with yourself and others
-
face loss, change, decisions
What's my approach to therapy?
At a master's level I did joint specialisations in psychodynamic (psychoanalytic) psychotherapy and constructivist therapy; and I did my clinical training at a public mental health centre in Barcelona where the dominant method is psychodynamic therapy. I also have rigorous postgraduate training in Gestalt Therapy and Mindfulness for clinical practice. My approach to therapy methods and theory is pragmatic and flexible, and I believe that serious training in a variety of schools is the best way to meet varied client needs.
